Description

In July 2007, the Comptroller General of the United States issued the 2007 revision of Government Auditing Standards. This marks the 5th time since their issuance in 1972 that they have been revised. These standards supersede the older 2003 revision and update the January 2007 revision.

Hear leading experts from the General Accounting Office and the CPA practitioner community and get the details of all the new changes . . . plus a lot more.

This live, interactive AICPA webcast will include a discussion of:

  • ethics and independence,
  • professional judgment and competence,
  • quality control and assurance
  • all types of GAGAS audits and attestation engagements,
  • internal auditors,
  • financial audits,
  • attestation engagements,
  • performance audits, and guidance material

These new standards are effective for financial audits and attestation engagements effective for periods beginning on or after January 1, 2008. For performance audits, the standards are to become effective for audits beginning on or after January 1, 2008.
